CPS Energy Registered Solar Contractors

All work must be performed in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local, manufacturer's codes and standards.

• All work must all meet CPS Energy's Interconnection & Net-Metering Guidelines.
• Within the city of San Antonio, rebate applicants must use licensed and bonded electrical contractors who are properly registered with the City of San Antonio Planning and Development Services Department.  For information, please call 210-207-1111.

Approved contractors for Solar (PV) System Installation status:

• Must possess or be operating under a master electrician license
• Must be registered with the City of San Antonio as a contractor
• Must be certified by the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) as a Solar (PV) Installer within two years of becoming registered with CPS Energy.
• Must be bonded and insured
• Provide list of references for completed solar (PV) installations >1kW (include contact information, system information, and photos)
• Provide copies of all related certifications and training

Approved contractors for Solar Water Heater Installation status:

• Must possess or be operating under a master plumber license
• Must be registered with the City of San Antonio as a plumbing contractor
• Must be certified by the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) as a Solar Heating Installer within two years of becoming registered with CPS Energy.
• Must be bonded and insured
• Provide list of references for completed solar water heater installations (include contact information, system information, and photos)
• Provide copies of all related certifications and training
