Average Your Bill and Pay the Same Amount Every Month

CPS Energy can set up a Budget Payment Plan to allow you to pay the same amount every month for your electric bill. How do we determine a fair amount? We average your bills over the last year and add a small percentage to cover environmental factors and changing fuel costs.
Any difference between your average and your actual monthly billing is adjusted after you have been on the Budget Payment Plan for one year. At that time, CPS Energy will settle any debit or credit balance that remains on your plan. If there is a debit balance of $300 or more, this amount will be set up automatically on a 12-month installment plan and will appear as a separate item on your monthly bill. If you have a debit balance less than $300 or a credit balance, it will be applied to your monthly bill.
