CPS Energy is owned by the City of San Antonio. We are the largest municipally-owned gas and electric utility in the United States. Fourteen percent of our gross revenues support over one-fourth of general operating budget of San Antonio's municipal government, providing financial resources for the delivery of basic services such as streets and infrastructure, public safety, parks and youth enrichment programs, and libraries.
Thanks to our use of diversified fuel sources, our customers in the Greater San Antonio metropolitan area pay among the lowest energy bills in the country. We also have earned the highest financial ratings of any combined electric and gas system in the nation. Every day, we strive to find new and innovative ways to maintain the reliable and cost-competitive service we provide to our growing number of customers.
