Our employees and their families can choose from two affordable health care plans: a CPS Energy-funded group health plan or an HMO plan.

CPS Energy is proud to offer a pension plan that can provide our employees with regular income after their retirement. All full-time CPS Energy employees who are at least 21 years old begin participation in the plan after one full year of employment. Participation is mandatory with a 5% employee contribution.

We believe a balanced work schedule and personal life helps our employees maintain a healthy emotional and physical well-being. Taking time away from work positively impacts the way our employees approach their jobs.

Vacation:  New, full-time employees receive one week of vacation time after completing their first six months of service. An additional week is earned at the completion of 12 months of service, for a total of two weeks of vacation accrued in the first year. Employees who stay with CPS Energy will have the opportunity to receive additional vacation time after five years of service.

Personal Leave:  CPS Energy knows there are times when an employees needs time away from work to attend to an important personal or family matter. We offer several types of leave including: sick leave, family and medical leave, funeral leave and military leave.

Holidays: CPS Energy recognizes 11 annual holidays and offers employees one additional floating holiday.

CPS Energy’s Group Life Insurance plan protects a family should something unfortunate happen to an employee. Our policy pays a benefit of two times an employee’s annual base salary and becomes effective on the first day of employment. Supplemental life insurance is optional and available to employees at an additional cost.

CPS Energy offers an optional medical reimbursement plan that allows our employees to set aside a portion of their salary tax-free to cover health-related expenses not covered by one of CPS Energy’s plans or other insurance.

We also offer an optional Dependent Care Reimbursement account that allows employees to set aside earnings tax free for the care of a child or elderly dependent.

We encourage our employees to develop and enhance their skills. Employees who have completed six months of service are eligible for tuition reimbursement for approved courses related to their work at CPS Energy.
